within him that light which is called intelligence”.

“ Education cannot be effective unless it helps a child open up himself to life”

Montessori Curriculum

From birth to the age of three the child learns and absorbs every thing in his/her environment. They are fascinated by and want to learn about the wonderful world around them. We at Star Child Montessori use at a very early age, this amazing receptiveness to lay the foundations for learning for the future- by introducing the Montessori materials designed specifically for the infants, treasure baskets and heuristic play.

  • We give plenty of opportunities for the child to use his/her senses
  • We allow the child to explore and learn through the environment.

We understand that every child is an individual from the next and will progress at a very different rate from every other child.

Young children develop at an incredible pace during their first three years.

Hence we at Star Child Montessori – support the initial growth spurts experienced in the first 18 months of a child’s life, and prepare the groundwork for the equally fast progress right up to a child’s fifth birthday.

Our aim is always for the happiness of your child. To provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment to enable your child reach his/her fullest potential at their own pace.

The Montessori environment encourages exploration, communication and the development of relationship on all levels. A child relies completely on the environment for the sensorial impressions through which he gains a sense of the world in which he lives. Activities in the Montessori class are made easily accessible to the children. Montessori was the first educator to produce child- sizes tables and chairs.

Order and consistency are very important to children so everything has its place and all materials are kept as neatly as possible. Materials provided meet the interests of the children.

“All the child needs is materials in his surroundings which satisfy his needs.”
Dr. Maria Montessori.
